NORTH COAST, Calif. — Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters, as well as work in Del Norte and Humboldt counties.
Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise.

LAKE COUNTY
Highway 29
Route 29 (5.9) – Traffic signal work in Middletown at Wardlaw Street will begin on Monday, March 23. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C29QA

Route 53 (5) – Traffic signal work in Clearlake at Ogulin Canyon Road will conclude on Friday, March 20. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C53BA

Highway 1
Route 1 (30.6/32.3) – Emergency work south of Elk continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#T1BA
Route 1 (40.1/41.8) – Emergency work from Navarro Bluff Road to the Navarro Point Preserve and Scenic Trail will begin on Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1RB

Route 1 (78.1/78.4) – Emergency work in Westport at Wages Creek Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C1BB
Highway 20
Route 20 (1.4/3.5) – Utility work will begin in Fort Bragg from Pine Tree Lane to east of Walters Lane on Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C20UA
Route 20 (33.1/33.2) – Culvert work in Willits from South Street to Walnut Street will continue. Westbound lane closures will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#P20DA

U.S. 101 (12.7/59.5) – Utility work at various locations from north of the Crawford Creek Bridge 10-168 to south of Big Trails Drive continues with lane closures and minor slowdowns. Highway 96
Route 96 (3.2/4.7) – Utility work is scheduled between the Pipeline Overcrossing and the turnout at postmile 4.7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C96BA

U.S. 101 (53.4/54.6) – Utility work is scheduled near the Eel River Bridge in the Rio Dell area on Sunday, March 22 from 7 a.m. to noon, including ramp closures at Wildwood Avenue with intermittent 5-minute traffic breaks, and Tuesday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Scenic Way Undercrossing and Metropolitan Heights Road.
