LAKEPORT, Calif. — The latest in a series of protests against government policies and overreach will be held this weekend.
The “No Kings” event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Museum Square in downtown Lakeport.
The Lakeport event is one of an estimated 3,000 protests planned across the United States and around the world that day.
Lake County Indivisible, the chapter of the national group organizing the protests, said of the event, “We gather to defend ourselves and our communities against unjust and cruel acts of violence. We gather to claim our power in the face of tyranny. We gather to INSIST on the Constitution, Rule of Law, justice, and human decency.”
