We had our annual Andy Day Memorial Celebration down at the Skate Park in Austin Park in Clearlake, last Saturday, April 14, which was the six-year anniversary of the death of Andrew Daniel Johnson, who died April 14, 2006, in a car accident with three other youth from the Eureka area. He was 18.
Ricky Bush, Michelle Bush and I would like to thank the following businesses for donations and support for this activity for our youth: Cutting Edge, Girlfriends, Radio Shack, Tatonka Trading, Elegant Touch, Hep Cat, Heavenly Hair, Ed and Lindas, Catfish CoffeeHouse, Clearlake Pet Shop, Four Corners, Rain Balloons/Pedals and Baskets, Grocery Outlet, Safeway, Castle Donuts And Shelley Graphics and Redwood Children's Services.

The Children's Museum of Art and Science (CMAS) would like to give a mighty roar of appreciation to the Lakeshore Lions for their donation to our Lego robotics program.
Two Lower Lake Elementary School students, Cody Sapeda and Alex Schenck, created robots and demonstrated them to Lions' members at a recent meeting.
The Lions had many questions for the two young engineers who displayed their enthusiasm and knowledge with confidence.
The Lakeshore Lions are often cited in news articles for their many efforts to do good things for our community. Many groups like CMAS have been the grateful recipients of their support.
To borrow a phrase from Tony the Tiger....Lions, "You're grrrrrr-eat!!!"
