The Lake County Arts Council would like to thank all who participated in Art in the Park and Children's Creative Art Day at Library Park in Lakeport on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Kerry Braider from Unitarian Universalist Church and her crew twirled their hula hoops and made craft items with the children, while Susanna DiAngelo had a lineup of youngsters waiting to have their face painted.
Music provided by Orion Freedom Song in the morning and in afternoon by Don Coffin, Jill Shaul, Sarah Tichava and Anna McAtee emanated from the gazebo as attendees of all ages filled in the sidewalk with their imaginative creations.
Thank you to Betty Lou Surber for putting out the coffee pot and donuts for the artists and participating vendors and to Richard Seisser for directing the chalk artists.
No day is complete without the helping hands of a cleanup crew, so thank you to Toni and Alan Hyden for their participation in the even and afterwards.
Shelby Posada is executive director of the Lake County Arts Council.
