La Favers: Boxer kicks off 2010 campaign

Sen. Barbara Boxer’s grassroots campaign 2010 kicks off this month with a series of house parties featuring a Webcam message from the senator.

We are happy to support Barbara Boxer, a true progressive champion. She is one of the most progressive voices in the U.S. Senate.

When George Bush wanted to go to war in Iraq, Barbara Boxer was one of only a handful of senators who voted no.

When George Bush wanted to appoint right-wing extremists to the federal bench, Barbara Boxer was there to fight him every step of the way.

When George Bush wanted to roll back hundreds of environmental protections, Barbara Box was there to stand up and stop those rollbacks.

Thankfully, George Bush is no longer president!

But thank goodness Barbara Boxer is still a U.S. senator, because she fights for economic well being of main street, not just Wall Street; fights for access to affordable health care for all Americans; as chair of the Senate Environment Committee, is able to do something about global warming; and fights for civil rights, marriage equality and a woman’s right to choose.

Please join us in supporting one of the best friends of progressives in the U. S. Senate, a woman who has been fighting our fight and walking our walk, our senator, Barbara Boxer.
