Lakeport Senior Center held a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels on Saturday, July 31, and raised $3,000.
The center would like to thank all of the vendors and volunteers who made this event possible.
Denise Johnson with the Victim Witness Program and McGruff the Crime Dog came out. Ed McDonald with California Highway Patrol, Frances Ford a senior advocate, Debbie Allen with blood pressure and diabetes testing, attorney Dennis A. Fordham, Betty Lou Surber with crafts, and Sandy and Brooke Hanson with Mary Kay all made the event possible.
A 50/50 raffle was part of the fundraiser and winners were drawn. First place was $1,442 and went to Agnes Carey.
Second place was won by Mark Rivas for $200 and John Boardman for $100, who gave back half his winnings to the Meals on Wheels program.
