I would like to bring to the readers’ attention Chuck DeVore who is the California representative from Orange County. He is a common-sense conservative who is running against Barbara Boxer for the US Senate in 2010.
Chuck’s endorsements include a unanimous support from the Republicans in the State Assembly, over half of the GOP members of the State Senate, Congressman McClintock and Bill Leonard from the Board of Equalization.
In 2007-08, Chuck received a perfect pro-family score from the Capitol Resource Family Impact, the only group that runs a pro-family state lawmaker ranking.
DeVore served in the Pentagon as a Reagan White House appointee from 1986 to 1988. As special assistant for foreign affairs, his duties included working with Congress to advance Reagan’s foreign and military policy.
He also worked in the aerospace and defense industry for thirteen years and was vice president for research when he was elected in 2004.
Chuck DeVore is a serious candidate to watch in the 2010 elections.

First I would like to ask why our marketing department did not do any rebuttal pieces in the Press Democrat or Marin Independent Journal regarding the state of the lake.
There could have been many positive pieces done that could have counteracted the damage done by those articles. We could have talked up the growing wine industry here, we could have given our ancient lake history etc.
Now with Konocti Harbor announcing its closure, why are we spending time and money on an old building in Lucerne instead of looking for buyers or doing something to keep Konocti Harbor open?
I could go on and on but I don't have time. I am open to hearing whatever excuses there may be, but I would really like to hear what we are doing or going to do.
