With the disappearance of our son and brother Jim on Jan. 29, 2009, until the discovery of his body on March 30, 2009, our family has been through some horrible days wondering and praying for his safe return. Unfortunately it was not meant to be.
A special thank you to godparents Jim and Sue Burton for stepping up and taking over to arrange a very special memorial service. Words are not enough to express the gratitude we feel towards you for that. Without your help we don't know if we could have done what you two accomplished for us.
To Jim's godbrothers, Frank and Duane, and godsister, Lynette, we love you and thank you for being there for us. Also a big thank you to the Moose Lodge for letting us come in and use the facilities there.
Also thanks to Stephanie of Jones and Lewis for helping me with the book and putting a beautiful tribute on your site to honor our son.
To all of Jim's friends, your support to this family will never be forgotten. Friends from his school days and adulthood have shown us Jim was well liked among all of you.
To his GBS friends ... what can we say? You are TRUE brothers and sisters and we love all of you very much. You all came from near and far to show your friendship and loyalty to our son.
Again, thank you one and all for your continued support, we love all of you.
Bob, Judy and John Heeszel are from Clearlake Oaks.

Thanks to Bernie and Lynne Butcher, owners of the Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon, for sharing the “History of the Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon” followed by a tour of the hotel and the old livery stable next to the Blue Wing.
We are also thankful to Sheldon Steinberg, owner of the livery stable, who although he could not be at the meeting was nice enough to let Bernie and Lynne share the restored livery stable where he runs his antique plumbing fixture business.
Thank you to all who attended to make this a wonderful event.
