My mother was experiencing reasonable pain relief from oral medications, but toward the end she could not ingest the medications and her nurse said that it would be beneficial for her to have a “compounded morphine solution” to keep her pain under control. She was referring to a cream compound that only a pharmacy licensed for compounding could produce.
The nurse told me that there was no pharmacy in Lake County that could compound that cream. I informed her that I believed Bill Kearney was a compounding pharmacist and she should contact him.
It was late at night and the pharmacy was closed, but she called his after-hours number and informed him of the need. He left his house, drove to his pharmacy and compounded the medication that my mother needed. Then he personally delivered it to her caregiver who was attending her that night in her home.
My mother passed the next morning, Christmas Eve, peacefully and pain-free.
The extra effort that Bill took in this instance was not an experience unique to my family. He displayed that kind of professional compassion throughout his career as a pharmacist.
That is one of many reasons that I support Bill Kearney for District 5 supervisor. I hope you will, too.

Claudine has been on the Upper Lake School Board for 10 years now and has been supportive of new programs that have been introduced during her time on the board.
These programs have helped curb absenteeism by creating a curriculum that is exciting to kids who will benefit from more variety of options including green construction, green agriculture and traditional college-bound.
As well as the Upper Lake School Board, Claudine is an active member of the Upper Lake Senior Activity Center and the Silver Foundation.

We have very dedicated teachers/educators working day and night to make sure their students receive the best education possible in these challenging times.
It is often difficult for these teachers to adapt to the new methods of teaching, but they do it because they recognize the importance of their jobs.
As a 21-year former member of the Lake County Board of Education, I commend our many teachers/educators for their dedication.
It is very important to have county supervisors who demonstrate a commitment to our schools and children and are innovative with solutions to help Lake County move forward.
I have cast my vote for Jessica Pyska for District 5 supervisor.

Kearney states, "I didn't send the negative flyer recently. My campaign did ..." Shouldn't someone running for an important office know what they are mailing out to the citizens of Lake County? Not taking responsibility for his own mailing is alarming.
He then goes on to blame his opponent's committee for interfering with his radio show. FCC guidelines are quite clear and require equal air time for all candidates. It is common practice for candidates who host radio programs to step away from their radio shows while campaigning for a public office. I'm sure he can resume his talk show on Nov. 4, blaming others shows a lack of awareness of what is involved in running for and holding a public office.
Running a winning campaign requires putting in the time and effort to understand in-depth the issues that impact the community and developing innovative, workable approaches. It’s not enough to just bring up issues – a candidate must be able to offer informed solutions and lead teams to successfully implement them. It takes relevant experience and hard work.
I am very impressed with Jessica Pyska's ideas, work and vision that were communicated in the candidate forum. Jessica Pyska is a highly qualified and prepared candidate for supervisor.
Kearney raising false allegations repeatedly, not taking responsibility for his campaign’s actions, and promoting issues without giving specifics on solutions is not a winning formula to sway Lake County District 5 voters.
That’s why I am so enthusiastically supporting Jessica Pyska for supervisor for District 5.
