Charlie Augustus Stimpson was born at St. Helena Hospital, Deer Park, California, on Aug. 1, 1963, to Bill and Lorraine Stimpson and passed at St. Helena Hospital on Jan. 8, 2024.

Charlie was the youngest child of Bill and Lorraine Stimpson. He was raised in Middletown, California. Charlie was a hardworking man. This work ethic was instilled in all of Bill and Lorraine’s five children.

One of Charlie’s proudest moments was the birth of his son, Sebastian born Dec. 4, 1994. In 1998, Charlie was employed by Hidden Valley Lake when an on-the-job accident left him permanently disabled.

Charlie purchased a home in 1999 in Clearlake, California, where he and his son resided. Charlie’s parents, Bill and Lorraine, decided to move to Idaho in 2007. Charlie made the decision to move with his son to Idaho to live closer to his parents and rented out his Clearlake home. In 2014, following the passing of his parents. Charlie and his son moved back to Clearlake.

Charlie lived a life full of cherished moments. He didn’t need grandeur or applause; he was a man fulfilled with just the sound of hearty laughter surrounding him, a cooler filled with fish, and his family’s love ringing in his ears. We will remember Charlie as he lived — a quiet, humble man, larger than life, with an air of simplicity.

Charlie is preceded by his Mom, Lorraine Stimpson and his Father, Bill Stimpson.

He is survived by his son, Sebastian (Helen) Stimpson of Paradise, California; sisters, Jane Raymer of Clearlake, Helen (Joe) Owen of Middletown, Donna (Clay) Ames of Amarillo, Texas, and brother, Mike Francis of Wellington, Nevada; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
