LAKEPORT, Calif. — Susan Dee (Clark) Salsbury, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away on Aug. 4, 2024, in Lakeport.

She was born on April 18, 1956, in Arcata, California.

Susan is survived by her cherished daughters, Rayna Clark, Jayme Leonard and Janis Leonard; adored grandchildren, Connor Vogel, Dillon Jones, Jett Jones and Lexi Vogel; devoted sisters, Rajean Lee Clark (Vicky Rose Dillion left the family in 2022), Michele Ann Frexias, Patsy Kay Sherrard , Dianne Judy Terlaje and Jeanne Mae Clark; as well as her son-in-law, Nicholas Vogel.

Susan worked at Calpella Elementary School in Calpella, California as a secretary for many years. Susan's dedication to the school community touched the lives of countless students and staff members. Her warm smile brightened every room she entered and her infectious laugh brought joy to all those around her. She will be remembered for her unwavering sense of humor that could lift anyone's spirits during difficult times.

The loss of Susan has left an indescribable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with this remarkable woman.

Details regarding Susan’s celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In honor of Susan Dee Salsbury's memory let us remember the love she shared with each one of us. May we find comfort in our memories as we carry forward the light that she brought into our lives.
