Mary Lois Welsh
March 7, 1937 - Oct. 30, 2025

Mary Lois Welsh, beloved wife, mother of three, grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Oct. 30, 2025 at the age of 88.

Born on March 7, 1937 in San Francisco, California, Mary Lois built a family with Thomas Joseph Welsh, Sr. in San Jose, California, before retiring to Lakeport, California in the late 1980s to enjoy a life of family, friends and travel.

Mary Lois was a Master Gardener and Rosarian, writing a gardening column with her friend, Shirley, for a local paper, and an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) with her husband of 59 years, Tom.  

Mary Lois was predeceased by her husband in 2014 and her son, Patrick Michael, in 2020. She is survived by a large, loving family and will be greatly missed. 

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, at Hartley Cemetery.
