LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Award winning Lake County artist, photographer and 3D inventor Ronald Dale Keas (Dec. 5, 1943 to March 27, 2026) has passed away after a short illness at the age of 82.
Originally from Salinas, California, he was a psychically gifted artist and musician from a young age and a U.S. Navy photographer in Vietnam.
Playing many instruments and specializing in highly detailed portraits of dozens of famous people like Marilyn Monroe, Barack Obama (which was displayed at the Democratic National Convention) and Princess Diana, as well as numerous Lake County community members.
He is survived by his wife Annie Barnes-Keas; four children from a prior marriage, Corrina Wolver-Keas, Sarah Keaz and Storm Keas, and another daughter; grandson Bodie Wolver and six additional grandchildren; brother, Donald Keas; niece, Chandra Keas; and stepbrother, Mark St. Pierre.
He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years Donna Britten Keas who had lived here in Lake County with him for 22 years, his parents William and Doris (Riggs) St. Pierre of Watsonville, California, and a son.
A private gathering will be held at Upper Lake Cemetery this weekend.
A community celebration of his life may be arranged in the near future.
