LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Juliano passed away unexpectedly; he was the loving son of Crystal Maciel-Jimenez.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary on Thursday, July 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Graveside committal will be held at Lower Lake Cemetery on Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m.

Donations to help with cemetery costs can be made to the Juliano Maciel Memorial Fund at Umpqua Bank in Lakeport.

Diane Smith
July 22,1945 - June 25,2018

The family of Diane Elizabeth Rinder Smith of Witter Springs, Calif., would like to share that she passed the morning of Monday, June 25, 2018, with her husband, Frederick Smith and her children by her side.

She was ill for a very short time and felt a calm, peaceful acceptance that carried her through and gave her family yet another example of the way she lived her life with beauty and grace. She left our earthly world fearlessly with love surrounding her.

Many times this past couple weeks she said how good it felt to be so loved.

Her family finds solace in knowing that Diane is with her daughter, Shalean; her parents, William and Henrietta Rinder; and the many loved ones who she said goodbye to in her lifetime.

Although she is no longer here physically, she remains in the hearts of all who knew her.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – John C. Sears, 74, died, June 24, 2018, at home.

John was a proud union member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He was retired from his position as a mailer for the San Francisco Chronicle and enjoyed spending his days puttering around.

His is survived by his brother, Vernon; daughters; Cherie, Melissa and Merry; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

John’s family would like to thank all of his friends and neighbors for all of their care and support. Also thank you to Hospice Services of Lake County for their exceptional care.
