MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Lottie Cline passed away in a car accident on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Middletown.

Lottie had recently retired from teaching at the Middletown Seventh-day Adventist School where she had taught for over 15 years, although she continued to volunteer there afterwards.

Lottie was born in Pakistan to missionary parents, growing up in Pakistan and India. She came to the States as a teenager, became a nurse, and then quickly decided it wasn’t for her and went back to school to become a teacher.

She taught in Christian education for almost 30 years, dedicating herself to helping each student reach their academics best, teaching them about God and caring for them and their families.

Everyone who knew her felt she was their friend. She always looked for ways to help and support others, often giving them a place to stay when they were in hard times, and always inviting them over for a home cooked meal or some table games.

Lottie loved gardening, and could often be seen in the mornings tending to her flowers. Lottie loved music, she played the guitar, viola and was a wonderful pianist.

She is survived by her husband and children and will be greatly missed by all.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 5 p.m. at the Middletown Seventh-day Adventist Church, 21640 S. Highway 29.
