MARIN COUNTY, Calif. – Leslie Beebout Adams, 44, died after a courageous 23-year battle with Lupus on Oct. 25, 2015, in Marin County.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg Adams; son, Tyler Adams; sister, Glenda Pyzer (Russ); brothers, Ed Beebout (Cynthia), John Beebout, Stephen Beebout; father in-law, Dwain Adams; sisters-in-law, Jill Roach, Angie Conlon (Kevin); 18 nephews and nieces; four cousins, and numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Jan Beebout; grandparents, Glen and Margaret Beebout, and Bob and Betty Jewett; nephew and godson, Ryan Depp; mother in-law, Gail Adams; and four aunts.
Leslie was born Nov. 26, 1970, in Lakeport, Calif.
She was an incredible athlete, playing softball and basketball throughout her years at Clear Lake High School. She was a part of the 1989 CLHS basketball team which traveled to the Arco Arena to play in the State Championships. This is a memory which remained dear to Leslie throughout her life.
Leslie went to Sonoma State University where she obtained her teaching credential in physical education and continued to play softball for the SSU team. This is also where she met her husband, Gregg.
Leslie’s greatest love and passion was her family. She was devoted and loyal to her husband and son, as well as the rest of her family.
There is nothing she enjoyed more, or gave her greater joy, then trips with her family to Disneyland or annual family reunions at the Skylark Motel, where all the Beebouts grew up. Leslie was a small town girl at heart and carried her passion for her hometown deep inside.
She will always be known for her strength, courage, endurance, hopeful belief in what tomorrow could bring, and her genuine love and compassion for her son, husband, family and friends. We are all better people for having Leslie in our lives to love, and be loved by. She is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at the 360 Church of Petaluma, located at 879 Lindberg Lane, Petaluma, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. With open hearts, we invite all who would like to attend and share in the celebration of such a precious life.
In lieu of flowers, our family would greatly appreciate donations being sent in Leslie’s name to The Lupus Foundation of Northern California, 2635 N. First St., San Jose, CA 95134.
