LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Ruth H. Berg, beloved wife of Bayard F. (Bob) Berg, passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2015.

She leaves three sons, Kurt, Stephen, and Jeffery (Lori) Berg. She also leaves grandson, Zachary Berg, and granddaughter, Holly Berg.

Ruth will always be remembered as she was so dearly loved.

Visitation will be held at the Clear Lake Baptist Church, 555 N. Forbes St., Lakeport, from, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Kelseyville Cemetery.

NICE, Calif. – Verna Lea Harteis, 67, passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2015, at home in Nice, surrounded by her family.

She was a loving, devoted wife to Tom Harteis for 34 years.

Verna was a caring tender mother to Tim (Dixie) Moyer, Michelle Moyer, Mollie (Jim) Berg and Eddie (Maria) Harteis. She was a fun-loving sweet Grandma to 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Verna is survived by brothers, Ted and Dave Wolhart, and sister Terry.

She will be remembered for her loving spirit, joy in serving others, love for the Lord and beautiful smile that would light up a room.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 N. High St. in Lakeport. A celebration of life will take place after 2 p.m. at the Berg home in Ukiah.
