LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lee Walter Ehling was born in San Francisco on March 9, 1943, and passed away in his sleep on Jan. 3, 2014.
He was in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and was honorably discharged with medals and commendations.
Lee was a marine electrician and worked on ships all around the world for 20 years.
The last 15 years of his career he worked for Exxon as an electrical contractor. He was called in as a "specialist" by Jack King of Exxon to investigate an explosion on the Exxon Philadelphia in Ana Cortez, Washington. Lee rode the disabled ship to Portland, Oregon to continue the investigation.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda, and his four cats that he dearly loved; his siblings, Helene (Dan) Henderson, Pat Dodson and Al Ehling; stepchildren, John Jackson, Jefferey (Mena) Stevens and Leslie Freund; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Lee was an animal lover, a very patient man, a true loving, gentle man with a great sense of humor. Everyone who met Lee liked him.
His wife has lost the love of her life, he will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Sylvia Jane Timmons, a native of San Diego, Calif., entered into rest at her home in Hidden Valley Lake with her loving family by her side. She was 59.
Sylvia had been employed by Hudson Mechanical Inc. She also was an adult Scout leader “Youth Protection Trainer,” Cub Scout day camp coordinator, Cub Scout den leader and a Boy Scout troop membership chair.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Sam, whom she met in Brawley when interviewing for a secretarial position with Union Oil Co.; son, Ben Timmons of Hidden Valley Lake; sister-in-law, Ramona Timmons Mejia of Simi Valley; brother, Jim Leeper of San Diego; and sister, Kathy Russum of San Diego.
At her family’s request, there will be no formal services.

Arline Ellen Moore
April 25, 1932 – Dec. 20, 2013
LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Arline was sent off surrounded by family members and received by Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior to her new home.
Arline was born in Chico, Calif., to her parents, Burt and Lillian Jordon. Her sister Beverly, brother Bill and her son Ricky preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister Eleanor and children, David, Jennie, John, Ron, Bert and Donna, and many grandchildren, all of which she loved with all her heart.
Arline spent her life doing for others and working with Alzheimer's patients as an in-home health caregiver. She spent time as a waitress in a hospital caring for those that needed help.
She raised her children to be responsible citizens.
She had been a member of the Native Daughters and Rebecca's Club. She's been president of these clubs and held other positions. Some of her fondest memories were the fellowship and the dressing up in fancy outfits for the events that the clubs would hold.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the First Southern Baptist Church of Lakeport, of which she had been a member.
