LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Joan P. Brennan, born in Scarborough, England, on June 13, 1926, passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2022, at the age of 96.

She was survived by her daughter, Carol Meador; son, David Brennan and his wife, Audrey; three grandchildren, Olivia, David Jr. and Joseph Brennan and his wife Kindah; and two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Alexandria.

Everyone who came in contact with our mother said what a beautiful and inspirational woman she was. We will all miss her dearly.

There will be a private family memorial.

Dewitt Bouker

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Dewitt Clinton (Buck) Bouker passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Lakeport, California.

He was born April 28, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York.

Buck enjoyed many passions during his life, the last was being Santa Buck and bringing much joy to children as Santa Claus during the Christmas season.

He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas. He was also radio DJ for Lake County Community Radio.

Buck is survived by five daughters, Cheri Noella, Denise Charlotte, Viola Louise, Vicky Lynn and Tammy Jo; two sons, Guyjohn Otis and Dewitt Clinton (Dusty); three step-daughters, Bonnie Hiraide, Robin Colt and Tracy Twomey; stepson, Richard Perry; and many grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Velma, and parents, John and Edythe.

Buck, you will be missed.

A funeral service was held Sept. 17.

Shirley Marie Roxson
Sept. 21, 1934 — Sept. 16, 2022

Shirley Marie Roxson of Lodi, California, passed away on Sept. 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born in Bakersfield, California, on Sept. 21, 1934.

In 1960 she met her husband, George, at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California. George was a captain for the Santa Rosa JC campus police and Shirley worked in the Business Administration Office on campus.

George and Shirley married on Oct. 25, 1961, in Carson City, Nevada. They moved to Lake County in 1961, where Shirley was a medical secretary for 30 years. George and Shirley resided in Lakeport until 2018 when they moved to Lodi to be closer to family.

Shirley is survived by George, her husband of 60 years, her daughter, Sheryl and her son, Randy (Margaret).

Shirley is also survived by her brother, Darrell (Suzy) and her sister, Judy (Floyd).

Known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as “Gramie,” Shirley is survived by her grandchildren, Ashley (Damon), Kyle, Gregory (Lynette) and Alex (Hannah) and her great-grandchildren, Landon, Caylee, Vanessa, Aria, Ella, George and Theo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Shirley is predeceased by her brother, Michael and her grandson, Ryan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial, Vineyard Chapel, 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi, CA 95240.
