Pacific Gas and Electric Co. urges customers to conserve electricity in response to a statewide Flex Alert called for Friday Aug. 14 from 3 to 10 p.m., by the California Independent System Operator, or ISO, which manages the state's power grid.

Caltrans paving project on State Route 1 from Gualala River Bridge to Point Arena beginning Aug. 17

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans will begin a new paving project on State Route 1 from Sonoma County (Gualala River Bridge) to 0.1 Mile south of Mill Street in Point Arena in Mendocino County on Monday, Aug. 17, and will continue for a four-month duration.
