KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Ever wonder about Clear Lake, which Lake County relies on for drinking water and recreation?
On Saturday, July 29, the Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association’s Summer Speaker Series will host Greg Giusti, whose talk is titled, “What Do We Know About Clear Lake?”
The program will begin at 1 p.m. in the visitor center at Clear Lake State Park, located at 5300 Soda Bay Road.
Giusti recently retired as Lake and Mendocino County director and advisor for forests and wildland ecology.
He has a master’s degree in ecology from San Francisco State University, and is a specialist in forest management, wildlife management, vertebrate pest management, wetlands, watersheds, fisheries and freshwater ecology.
The Summer Speaker Series, sponsored by Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association, is open to the public and admission is free to enter the park for those attending this session.
The visitor center, with fascinating information about what can be found in the park, will be open for business from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. that day.
Come and test your knowledge of the lake we live near, and enjoy the air-conditioned comfort as well as the beauty of Clear Lake State Park.

LOWER LAKE, Calif. – The first meeting of the Museums of Lake County Tribal Advisory Committee will occur on Tuesday, July 11.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the Historic Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake.
Any American Indian interested in volunteering to be a member or interested in learning more about the Tribal Advisory Committee is welcome to attend.
Meetings will be held monthly on the second Tuesday at 10 a.m.
