LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport Christian Center will host a spaghetti feed fundraiser this Thursday, Oct. 8, to benefit a Lakeport man injured last week in a hit-and-run vehicle crash.
The fundraiser for Corey Bauman will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 455 S. Forbes St.
Bauman, 41, and Nicolas Thompson, 32, of Upper Lake were hit by a pickup while riding their bicycles in Lakeport on Sept. 29. The driver fled but was arrested the following morning, as Lake County News has reported.
Both Bauman and Thompson suffered major injuries and were flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
All proceeds from the Thursday spaghetti feed will go to help Bauman's family cover medical costs and related expenses.
If you would like to help with the event, including donating food or volunteering, contact the church at 707-263-4514.
