KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – On Friday, Oct. 29, parts of Kelseyville's downtown streets will be closed for the elementary school parade.


The closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. along Main Street from Second to Fifth streets, Second and Third streets from Main to Gard, and Gard Street in front of the school.


Drivers are encouraged to be aware of ghosts, goblins, witches and werewolves in the area.


The community is invited to come down and enjoy all of the great costumes on display by the children.

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – On Friday, Oct. 29, several streets will be closed in the downtown Upper Lake area.


Parts of Main and Second streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for the Upper Lake Union School District's Red Ribbon Day Parade.


Drivers are encouraged to drive carefully in this area and plan alternate routes if necessary.


The community is invited to come down and enjoy the parade.

UKIAH, Calif. – The Area Agency on Aging of Lake & Mendocino Counties (AAA) Governing Board will be holding its fall joint meeting with the AAA Advisory Council and contractors this month.


The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, HHSA Big Sur Conference Room at 747 South State Street, Ukiah.

NICE, Calif. – The Sons of Italy has canceled the rest of its flea markets for the season.


The group will reopen its flea markets on June 4, 2011.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in recovering a mobility scooter stolen from a Lucerne man.


Sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, Lucerne resident Rand Schulken had his three-month-old mobility scooter stolen from him.


The mobility scooter is described as a “Pride Mobility Jazzy” model 614 electric wheelchair. It has “Jazzy” in white lettering on the back.


The sheriff's office is asking for public assistance in returning this very important piece of property to its rightful owner.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Riviera Elementary PTO is pleased to announce the completion of a new baseball field at Riviera Elementary School.


They invite the community to join them for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010.


The ribbon cutting will take place at Riviera Elementary School, 10505 Fairway Drive, in Kelseyville.


This baseball field project was made possible by generous donations from Clearlake Lava Inc/Point Lakeview Rock & Redi Mix, Keith Thomasson, George Medieros Transportation, White & Sons Boatworks and many parents of the Riviera Elementary School.
