
LAKE COUNTY – Students from around Lake County experienced a day of learning Saturday at the Art and Science Camp.
One hundred and 35 fourth through sixth graders from all county school districts and non-public school settings took part in the event, which began at 7:45 a.m. and lasted until 4:30 p.m.
Included were 40-minute stations at locations including Anderson Marsh in Lower Lake, where students participated in a nature walk, music station, art station and science station; and Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville, where they experienced a planetarium show, solar telescope, music station and art station.
The free event was sponsored by the Children's Museum of Art and Science, Redbud Audubon Society, Anderson Marsh Interpretative Association, Lake County Office of Education and Clearlake Kiwanis.
