Lower Lake High PTSA promoting eScrip

LOWER LAKE – The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) at Lower Lake High School, formed last year, is busy recruiting new members, sponsoring the “Reflections” art contest at the high school, and promoting the eScrip program to raise valuable funding for schools in the Konocti Unified School District.

The PTSA meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Lower Lake High School teacher’s room. Parents, teachers, and students involved with LLHS are urged to become members and to become active in the PTSA.

The PTSA plans to fund scholarships to PTSA student members, help fund sober grad night, help fund field trips and other programs, contribute to site improvements, and contribute to honor roll incentives.

Right now, the group is promoting the eScrip program to raise money for Lower Lake High School, as well as other schools that are registered with the program in the Konocti District.

eScrip is a hassle free way to raise funds through everyday purchases made at eScrip merchants. You don’t have to save receipts, or anything, just register your Safeway card, credit cards, (including Macy’s and Eddie Bauer) or debit cards on line with the eScrip program and a percentage of each purchase you make will be deposited directly into the account of the school you choose.

It is simple to register, simply go to www.eScrip.com, go to “sign-up” and designate our group (LLHS PTSA) to receive contributions. The LLHS PTSA group number is 6530904. Schools all over the country are raising thousands of dollars through eScrip.

If you would like more information about the program, contact Roberta Lyons at (707) 994-2024 – she can help you register, or register for you.

The PTSA is also promoting the 2007/2008 “Reflections” art contest at Lower Lake High School. The theme for this year is “I Can Make A Difference by ...” Categories for participation include: Musical Composition, Dance Choreography, Film/Video Production, Literature, Visual Arts, and Photography. Students at LLHS are being asked to participate.

Winners will be forwarded to the State PTA and may even move on to the National Award category. Participates are asked to create an original piece of artwork in one of the six categories they chose.
