Carl

Harvest Fest was great fun at Carlé this year! On Halloween we spent the entire day playing games and doing fun activities for our Harvest Fest celebration. Our student government worked hard to organize creative activities for everyone to do, and all of their hard work paid off!

For Harvest Fest we had a massive competition between all of the advisory classes of our school. The teachers that led their advisory classes were Dan Maes, Angie Siegel, Alan Siegel, Verna Rogers and Steve Hammond.

Students from each advisory competed to get more points for their class by making masks for their teachers, decorating their classroom doors and competing in group games such as our Clue game.

The overall winner of the Harvest Fest competition was Angie’s class! The winning students of Angie’s class were Sam Ayala, Jaime Banducci, Wesley Besgrove, Kelly Campo, Daniel Davey, Tailore Delange, Justin Duncan, Mia Dupard, Kimberly Fuller, Michelle Hayes, Eric Hernandez, Janiel Huber-Benefiel, Mike Jefferson, Amy Jones, Bryan Lane, Steven Negrete and Jah-Brela Parker.

There were other smaller competitions, as well, that students competed in. The winner of the pumpkin carving contest was Steven Negrete, and the winner of the face-painting contest was Jason Andrews. The winner of our game of musical chairs was Kevin Almond.

The winner of the best costume of Carlé was Atlee Erickson, who came as a coin-operated boy. The second- and third-best costumes were worn by Yvette Kinyon, and Sina Radley as a fairy.

Also, We now have the winners of our Ping Pong tournament and they are Lavonne Pattee and Bill MacDougal of the women’s and men’s divisions, respectively.

Hope you had a happy Halloween everyone, and thanks for reading!

Atlee Erickson is a junior at Carlé High School.
