The next round of classes meeting on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for Picasa photo editing and organizing, and on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for SketchUp 3D drawing and modeling. Software is free from Google and available for download on the Internet.
Both classes continue through February; the Picasa class on Monday will not take place on February holidays.
Pre-registration will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25. Reservations are not required, but reserving a seat will guarantee you a place in the class. All other drop-ins are first-come, first-served.
Registration paperwork and payment of lab fees takes place at the first class a student attends. Payment is accepted in cash or by check, made out to the Lake County Office of Education.
The cost is a very low, yearly $25 lab fee for any and all classes a student wishes to attend between now and the end of this school year. Schedules and class subjects will vary according to student interest.
Classes are geared to adult learners. High school students also are eligible and may petition for high school credit.
Custom-designed computer classes also are available for businesses and small groups.
Classes are held at Clearlake Community School in Clearlake, 6945 Old Highway 53.
