Students win in Christmas Coloring Contest

CLEARLAKE – The K-6 grade children of Konocti Unified School District were once again busy with their crayons, markers, glitter, glue, and other arts and craft materials as they prepared their entries for the annual Christmas Coloring Contest.


This annual competition always results in many colorful and creative entries and a daunting task for the contest judges.


This year’s entries were judged and put on display at the Christmas Light Parade held Saturday, Dec. 6, by the Jones & Lewis Memorial Chapel. Walmart generously donated a $10 dollar Gift Card for each of the following winners.


  • Kindergarten – Jessie Castellanos from Burns Valley School.

  • First Grade – Skylar Ryan from Burns Valley School.

  • Second Grade – Amber Springer from Pomo Elementary School.

  • Third Grade – Ashley Fields from Burns Valley School.

  • Fourth Grade – Carlos Martinez from Lower Lake Elementary.

  • Fifth Grade – Corinne Thill from Pomo Elementary.

  • Sixth Grade – Seth Fabian Travis-Pawelek from Pathways Charter School.
