Carl

More new events are coming and going for Carlé students all the time.

One was the Gold Level trip on Friday, Feb. 25. There, 17 Gold Level students got together to go bowling and have a pizza lunch at Lakeside Lanes. We would like to thank Lakeside Lanes for hosting our highest credit earning students.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, Heidi Morgan was awarded her mug and plaque designed by Bonnie Passley for helping out the Carlé choir class and making it possible.

Carlé High School now has another teen parenting counselor. Teresa Stewart will now be available through Carlé High for any teen in need. We would like to welcome Teresa to our family.

Carlé High School is now accepting any old computer donations. Our media class at Carlé is now taking old and broken down computers and shifting and making them into brand new computers. These computers that will be made by our media crew will be given to kids and families that are in need of a

computer.

If you have any information that could possibly help out Carlé, or if you have any computers that you would like to donate, please contact Carlé at 994-1033, and ask to speak with Alan Siegel. Thank you for your consideration.

We would like to thank our Student Council, which is helping students understand the importance of community service. We have had a group of very active students who constantly volunteer for many of our community service events.

Student Council wants to foster the love of community service in those who have not volunteered very much. For this reason, Student Council is creating a community service day here at Carle.

The council is creating a list of projects which will benefit our own school. We will dedicate a day towards improving our school and all students will play a part. Once the students see how rewarding community service can be and how much pride and confidence can be gained from this experience, Student Council is confident they will extend this commitment into their community as a whole.

Carlé High school has a five-credit requirement or 60 hours of community service as part of our graduation requirements. Our council has also just approved the purchase of a ping-pong table so Carlé High School can finally have our big ping-pong tournament.

Advisor's note: The Carlé community would like to congratulate the writer of our articles, Amanda Tchamourian, who was named our student of the week last week. As you can see Amanda does a great job keeping the county informed about what goes on here at our school. She is also a phenomenal

student who always is awarded gold level. In addition, she is a gifted artist who is currently designing and painting a large mural for Konocti Dance studio. Keep up the good work Amanda and Carlé.

Amanda Tchamourian is a student at Carlé High school.
