We would like to congratulate Marquice Lamar, Trevor Tippett, Jamila Parker, Jah-Brela Parker and Emily Newton for officially graduating from Carlé High School. We wish them luck for their future to come.

On March 19, Marquice Lamar will be giving one final speech at ESS-Region 4 where they will award this year's student of the year. He received the ESS award last year for being one of the most successful students in the region. His help will be dearly missed here at Carlé High School.

We would also like to thank Tyler Lawson, Taylor Lopez, Marquice Lamar, Kenneth Horton, Peter Bennett and Chris Clark. These students took their time to help set up and cleanup Russel Rustici's memorial on March 7 .

HAZMAT certification training was started at Carlé High School Monday, March 9. It will last until to Tuesday, March 17. Angie Siegel started this intensive one-week class for students who want to learn about hazardous materials. This class will prepare the students for whatever jobs they decided to take on in their futures. We also would like to thank Angie because she made a $400 class free for the students. Thank you, Angie.

After HAZMAT, Carlé had another chance for CASHEE testing. The testing will be on March 17 and March 18 at Carlé High School in the library. We wish luck to all that will take the test.

We would also like to congratulate Ben Sheridan for being awarded our student of the week. He started this year as a junior and has gained so much credit he is now a senior and will be graduating at the end of the year. He also earned the most credit for the fifth grade period here at Carlé and received over 30 credits! Keep up the good work Ben.

Finally, we are proud to announce that we received an $850 donation from Dr. Barry Munitz, the head of California's P-16 council. The $850 will be used to make plaques for the graduating seniors at Carlé High School. The plaques will be designed and made by the students.

Thank you so much Dr. Munitz for your generous donation. Many students will now have a keepsake of their time at Carlé for the rest of their lives. We are all truly grateful.
