The Caltrans District 1 Social Fund and the Caltrans Transportation Foundation, or CTF, are offering one $2,250 scholarship to a student seeking a career in transportation.

This scholarship is competitive and based on the applicant's commitment to a career in transportation, academic record and participation in extracurricular or community-related activities.

“There are so many careers you can pursue in the transportation field, from environmental science and engineering to heavy equipment operation and construction. This scholarship is a great opportunity to kickstart your education,” District 1 Social Fund Chair Cori Reed said.

High school seniors or college undergraduates who are from or are currently living in Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake or Mendocino counties are eligible to apply.

For a complete list of qualifications and to apply, go to apply.mykaleidoscope.com/program/CaltransDistrict1-2025.

Applications are available online only and must be submitted by Thursday, June 12.

Visit dot.ca.gov/caltrans-near-me/district-1/d1-popular-links/d1-scholarship for more information about the District 1 Scholarship Program, and go to the-ctf.org to learn more about the CTF.
