LAKE COUNTY – Due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the monthly meeting of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 88 of Lake County, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Lakeport Yacht Club building located at the Fifth Street boat ramp in Lakeport.

Visit the flotilla's information booth at the Lake County Fair and find out how you too can become one of America's Volunteer Life Savers.

Of special interest to any young person who is considering joining the U.S. Coast Guard, is the opportunity to learn seamanship and boating skills which will give him or her an immediate increase in pay and other advantages upon joining the Coast Guard. There will be information available at the booth.
