HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club held a low net (sweeps) competition on July 15.

Forty-nine men participated in this event.

The results were:

• First flight: Dennis Bero came in on top with a low net, 33, while Bill Helt and Stan Kalata tied for second at 34.

• Second flight: Jim Cary, Mike Casolo and John Jones tied for first with net 35.

• Third flight: Byron Hoss won the flight with 32, Dick Kistner finished with 33 and Bill Stricklan had 34.

• Fourth flight: Brian Panizzera posted the lowest net of the day, 31, while Sterling Bright was second at 32 and Dennis Day was third with 34.

Dennis Bero was closest to both par 3 pins.

Chip-ins were scored by Paul Bertlin, Bill Stricklan, Jim Cary and Dennis Bero.
