HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club returned to the links on April 14 with a five club sweeps competition after being rained out on April 7.

The results were:

• First flight – Lee Willard was first at low net 32 and Bob Chestnut second, 33, while Olie Smith and Dave Mann tied for third with 34s.

• Second flight – Paul Bertlin took first with 32 and Byron Hoss was second with 34; Juergen Haller, Brian Rudy, Ron Clark and Martin Seita tied for third with 36s.

• Third flight – Ed Carver captured first with the lowest net of the day, 31. Gary Pickrell was second, 32 and Glenn Neasham was third with 33.

Mike Casolo and Bill Perry were closest to the par 3 pins.

Al Burrows, Bob Schossler and Juergen Haller posted chip-ins.

Fifty-four men participated in this event.
