
LAKEPORT, Calif. – This weekend at Lakeport Speedway race fans are going to be in for a treat of a lifetime.
With the weather getting warmer outside, it is going to be a lovely evening to bring the family and friends out to the speedway.
The gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. at the speedway, located at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St., Lakeport.
The action on the track is heating up with all the top contenders being on hand this weekend to race in the Coors Light Modifieds, all setting their sights on the points leader Sean Sweeney.
The action is fierce in the bomber division between Charlie Collins and Jodi Snider who is really making Collins step up to the plate, as the competition level in the Taco Bell Bombers has turned up a notch.
This weekend will be the first of the Destruction Derbies, along with the Clover Hydro Jammers, The Bandoleros and The Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalt Outlaws.
