How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
After the conclusion of a very successful Kulture Shock Car Show the fans at the race track were treated to a very exciting night of racing.
There was not only action in the infield during the Wrecking Yard Rumble but also during all the races on the track.
The night saw Sean Sweeney take the win in both the Coors Light Modified Division along with the Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalt Outlaws with winning both these features he collected and extra $200 bounty put up by speedway promoter David Furia.
Tim LaPoint was the victor in the Wrecking Yard Rumble after putting a hurting on the rest of the competition in the field.
The Clover Hydro Jammers saw a new winner with Trevor Kollenborn taking the checkers after leading most of the race over point’s leader Jackson Long.
The Taco Bell Bombers had an ill-fated night with motor woes claiming cars early in the night, but that did not lead to a boring race, and after all the smoke cleared the race win went to Charlie Collins of Lakeport.
The night's action started out extremely hot with the eventual main event winner Sean Sweeney catching on fire during hot laps, retiring him to the pits for the remainder of practice to repair all the fire damage.
The start of the main saw Mike Smithhart staring on the pole with second-year driver Alex Andrews of Lakeport starting on the outside pole.
The pace was fast at the start, seeing Tom Lyndall move to the low grove in turn three in front of Steve Taylor of Cloverdale.
The action really got hot going into turn number one after making one complete lap, seeing driver David Lyndall stick his nose in between Smithhart and Andrews, but the room ran out going into turn one sending Andrews hard into the outside retaining wall, scattering the rest of the field.
That left Lyndall sliding into the low grove where Steve Olvera of Little River collided with him, sending Olvera’s car airborne over the top of Lyndall, bringing the field to a early race caution.
Upon cleaning up the wreck the race was restarted and it saw Steve Taylor of Cloverdale jump out to the lead, followed by Smithhart.
The next yellow came out on lap number 10 when contact was made between Tom Lyndall of Kelseyville and Thomas Wright of Lakeport in turn number four.
The race restarted with Taylor on the pole and Sweeney on the outside pole. Sweeney jumped out to the lead never looked back for the remainder of the race taking the victory over Richie Potts , Aaron Hicks and Thomas Wright.
In the Clover Hydro Jammers Eddie Klein of Kelseyville jumped out to the early lead in the Pro jammers with Nolan Forsythe leading the Jr Jammers for the first part of the race.
Trevor Kollenborn made the pass for the lead of the Jr. Jammers on lap number six, never to look back for the remainder of the race.
The battle in the Jr. Jammers ended up being between Forsythe and Bishop for the fourth position with the pair battling lap after lap to maintain their spots. In the end Bishop was able to make the pass on Forsythe for the fourth spot.
The finish saw Eddie Klein take the Pro Jammer win followed by Ellis Thornton, and the Jr. Jammers win went to Trevor Kollenborn, followed by Brandi Cubbage.
The Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalt Outlaws main started with David Lyndall on the pole and Charlie Collins on the outside pole.
Collins jumped out to the early lead with Lyndall falling back to second. Lyndall jumped out to the outside grove to challenge Collins for the front position.
The pair battled back and forth for a large portion of the race with the field side by side behind them all battling for spots, with Sweeney making a pass for second on lap number 11.
The first caution of the night came out on lap number 19 when Mike Smithhart lost a radiator cap and leaked water around the track.
After a short clean up the field restarted with Collins on the pole and Sweeney on the outside pole. On the restart it saw Sweeney jump out to the lead not looking back to take the checkers followed by Tellstrom.
The Taco Bell Bombers where making a run for the boarder, because all the drivers where hungry for a win over the veteran driver Charlie Collins.
The race started with Anthony Esberg on the pole and Robert Taylor on the outside pole. This only lasted until they entered turn number one on the initial green flag, when Rich “Mr. Excitement” Mills tried to make a pass for the lead from the third starting spot, then losing control and a motor on the back straight away, retiring him for the evening.
The race restarted and saw Andy Norton jump out to the lead, followed by Collins, who made the pass for the lead on lap five and maintained the lead after a caution on lap number eight. Collins claimed another victory in the Taco Bell Bombers, followed by Norton, Swaney and Taylor.
The Wrecking Yard Rumble saw five cars take the field on a very muddy infield for the destruction derby.
It did not take long for the eventual race winner to start putting a hurting on his rival Jason Ingham in the number 11, with LaPoint pounding on him every chance he got.
Tia Everrett from Cotati was the gal to watch and was putting a hurting on LaPoint until her car got stuck in the front of the derby arena.
Robert Foster from Colusa in the M80 set his sights also on Ingham, but got stuck early in the event up against the tires on the back side of the arena.
After all the dust and steam cleared from the infield, it was LaPoint taking the win, followed by Everrett, Ingham and Robert Foster.
The next race will be a three-day show over the Fourth of July holiday weekend where the speedway will be hosting an open practice for drivers on Friday night followed by a barbecue for all paid pit passes.
The grandstands will be open for this event free of charge to the fans who want to come and watch practice.
The racing will take place on Saturday and Sunday with the Coors Light Modifieds, the Clover Hydro Jammers, The Taco Bell Bomber, The Rental Solution Mini Stocks, The Lake County Off Road Extreme Asphalt Outlaws and the Vintage Super Modifieds running full shows for all division on both days.
On Saturday the extra feature will be the second car demo derby for the season. Then for the grand finally of the weekend and for the first time in the history of Lakeport Speedway, and the Lake County Fairgrounds, Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino will be shooting off a full fireworks show from the infield of the race track.
Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino has teamed up with Lakeport Speedway to make this first-ever event take place at the speedway and without their participation this event would not be possible.
The fireworks will be shot off prior to the Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino Boat Races that will conclude the holiday weekend.
