HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The H.V.L. Men's Niners Golf Club held a low net (sweeps) competition on Sept. 22.

The results were:

• First flight – Fred Figg took first with net 33; Joe Vallee and Rick Conrad tied for second at 35.

• Second flight – Rick Canevari and Randy Brown tied for first place honors with 33; Bill Surber finished third at 34.

• Third flight – Gary Faulkner took first with 31, Jim Hodges was second at 33 and Don Dornbush was third at 34.

• Fourth flight – Doug Carter posted the lowest net of the day, 30; Byron Hoss was second at 31; and Tommy Sowell third at 32.

Closest to the par 3 pins were Fred Figg and Randy Brown.

Chip-ins were scored by Sam DeBone, Pete Gumina, Dave Mann, Mike Riley, Martin Seita and Rick Canevari.

Fifty-seven men participated in this event.
