HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club held a two-man scramble competition on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The results were:

• “A” flight: The teams of Bill Brewster/Gary Faulkner and Cliff Hughes/Bill Surber tied for the top spot with net 28. The teams of Fred Figg/Randy Brown, Bendi Bendinelli/Dennis Bero, and Arch Madsen/Stan Kalata tied for third at 30.

• “B” flight: The teams of Olie Smith/Bob Costello, Jim Brown/Rick Canevari and Mike Casolo/Phil Tyler tied for first with net 28.

Closest to the par 3 pins were Bob Chesnut and Rick Conrad.

Chip-ins were scored by Bob Costello and Bill Brewster.

Forty-two men – 21 teams – turned out in threatening weather to participate.
