The group will join the usual field trip at the Rodman Preserve at 6350 Westlake Road held by the Lake County Land Trust, and then drive to the Rodman Slough County Park for some more bird watching.
The trip starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Meet at the nature center at the Rodman Preserve at the corner of Westlake Road and the Nice-Lucerne Cut-off.
For information call Pat Harmon at 707-263-4977 or Roberta Lyons at 707-994-2024.
For an added bonus, if any of you have children or grandchildren, bring them along and they can participate in the special Children’s Nature Education program at the Land Trust’s nature center, which also starts at 9 a.m.
Parents or grandparents can enjoy the walk, while their kids enjoy learning about how “animals and plants prepare for winter,” from expert nature education specialist, Elaine Mansell.
