SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Splash Dogs event takes place from July 12 to July 15 and features dogs who will compete for distance, diving from a dock into a 40 foot long pool.
Dog lovers can join the fun in front of the Miller Lite Grandstand area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to cheer for their favorites.
Sacramento Dog Training Club and Two Rivers Agility Club of Sacramento return to the 2012 California State Fair to host the American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Agility Trials.
The event will be hosted in the Livestock Pavilion on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“(Fair goers) will see a variety of breeds including mixed breed dogs and dogs from rescue organizations,” says Show Secretary Jenny Cuccinello.
Proceeds for the event will be donated to Homefront Dogs, a local nonprofit that raises puppies to become service dogs, therapy dogs and family companion dogs.
Proud pet owners travel from all over the region to compete in these events. They are great activities for the entire family.
