MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – County Public Services Director Caroline Chavez announced that the Parks Division is seeking applicants for one lead lifeguard and one lifeguard for the Middletown Pool this spring and for the summer season.
The pool summer season is tentatively scheduled to run from June 12 to Aug. 11.
Special requirements for this position are the possession of a current lifeguard certificate, community cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate (eight hours), standard first aid certificate (eight hours), and emergency medical service authority certificate (eight hours) or the ability to acquire an EMSA certificate prior to June 1, 2013.
Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15 years of age or older. Special requirements for the lead lifeguard applicants are to be at least 17 years of age or older. The possession of a Water Safety Instructor Certification is preferred.
