MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Free exercise classes will be offered every Friday in August at the brand new Middletown Senior Center from 10:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m.
The class will be taught in chairs with the option to stand and move given as well.
The class will feature cardio, strength training and stretching for a total body workout.
Local Jazzercise instructors, Beth Rudiger and Marla Drake, will lead this Jazzercise Lite class. They welcome people of any mobility level who want to get moving again.
“We are offering this because we believe everybody needs to move in order to live life to the fullest,” said Rudiger. “Today is a good day to start exercising and this class is accessible to everyone.”
Jazzercise Lite is a 60-minute class that pairs moderate aerobics with exercises that are designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility.
The easy-to-follow routines make Jazzercise Lite inviting to newcomers, and the aerobic portion of the workout can get the heart rate up without stressing the knees, legs and lower back.
The Jazzercise philosophy has always been that exercise is for everyone – and by using effective exercise, jazz dance and popular music – it’s fun for participants, too.
