Pyorre and Psalmonds champions at CLHS Michael Kroppmann Memorial Wrestling Tournament

LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Saturday, Jan. 16, the Clear Lake Cardinals hosted their fourth annual Michael Kroppmann Memorial Wrestling Tournament. 

The Cardinals entered eight wrestlers in the tournament and finished with two gold, two silver, two bronze, a sixth place medal, along with a sixth place team finish.

Clear Lake Cardinal wrestlers Jacob Pyorre (boys 113 pounds) and Emily Psalmonds (girls under 116 pound) each won their finals championship matches to bring home gold medals.

Pyorre went 3-0 with two pins to win first place.

Psalmonds went 2-0 with one pin to take first place.

Isaac Lewis (boys 152 pounds) went 2-1 with two pins to win second place.

Ciera Moreno (girls under 142 pounds) went 2-1 with two pins to take third place.

Kally Vinson took second place and Haily Vinson took third in the (girls under 220 pounds). Alicia Ledesma (girls under 116 pounds) finished sixth.

Brandon Dickey also wrestled for the Cardinals at in the boys' 132 pound class.
