LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Registration opens on Thursday, March 10, for Redbud Audubon’s Heron Festival.
The pontoon boat tours, which have been central to the festival over the years, continue on as Heron Days.
Boat tours lasting for 90 minutes are offered on two consecutive Saturdays, April 30 and May 7, from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Bird guides accompany each tour.

On April 30, boats depart from Lakeside County Park which is just west of Clear Lake State Park.
On May 7, boats depart from Redbud Park in the city of Clearlake.
The fee for the pontoon boat tour is $25.
