LOWER LAKE, Calif. – Anderson Marsh State Historic Park continues to hold monthly guided nature walks.

The final guided walk of spring 2018 is scheduled for Saturday, June 9.

Participants are asked to meet in the parking lot at 8:15 a.m. to have time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the ranch house and barn complex yard.

The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. There is no parking fee for those attending.

Join Tom Nixon, former State Parks ranger at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, as he leads a leisurely walk to on the Cache Creek and Ridge trails.

According to Nixon, “As the park settles into summer, this should be a great opportunity to see resident birds, late spring flowers and dragonflies.”

Bring your binoculars. At this time of year, you are also encouraged to bring sun hats and water.

The two-and-a-half to three-mile guided walk will begin and end at the parking lot and should take about two hours.

There will be a tour of the historic Anderson Ranch House after the walk.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.
