UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The walk scheduled at Rodman Slough for this Saturday, Aug. 11, has been cancelled due to the fires and hazardous air quality.
During summer months the Lake County Land Trust offers nature walks on the second and fourth Saturday at 8 a.m.
The early morning guided walks at Rodman Preserve offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy wildlife and the beauty of Lake County in the fresh, cool morning air. Each Saturday walk is led by a different Land Trust volunteer.
Visitors often enjoy returning for walks, learning from the diverse guides for each walk and enjoying the changing seasons.
The next scheduled walk on Aug. 25 will be led by Erica Lundquist.
Katherine Lindsley will lead the walk on Sept. 8, and Roberta Lyons and Brad Barnwell will guide on Sept. 22.
Participants should meet at the Rodman Preserve and Nature Education Center.
The preserve is located at 6350 Westlake Road, Upper Lake.
