LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Thursday, March 28, the Terrace Middle School Viking wrestlers sent 17 wrestlers to the LCJHAL Wrestling Middle School Championships.

When it was over the Vikings had won eight gold medals, three silver and three bronze medals, along with the first place team pennant and both the boys and girls MVP awards.

The tournaments boys MVP was awarded to Hayden Fowler and the Girls MVP was Emily Gersalia.

Gold medalists are Emily Gersalia, girls 97 pounds; Ashley Pyorre, girls 105 pounds; Asher Reese, boys 106 pounds; Hernan Romero, boys 124 pounds; Hayden Fowler, boys 134 pounds; Anthony Gersalia, boys 159 pounds; Jonothan Decent, boys 178 pounds; and Chris Krack, boys 209 pounds.

Silver medalists are Anyssa Perez, girls 114 pounds; Carson Wikstrom, boys 124 pounds; and Liam Davis, boys 144 pounds.

Bronze medalists are Adrian Truby, boys 70 pounds; Landen Noisat, boys 118 pounds; and Quinnian Frick, boys 129 pounds.

Also wrestling some tough matches for the Vikings were Louis Aguilar, boys 108 pounds; Julian Romero, boys 162 pounds; and Scott Condon, boys 201 pounds.

“I am really proud of all of them, they all wrestled extremely well and made great progress over the season,” said Head Coach Scott Derby.
