Mendocino College to host summer basketball camp

UKIAH – Mendocino College will host a basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8 to 14 from Monday, July 27, through Thursday, July 30.

Camp directors Coach Billy Offill and Coach Jody Steliga are very excited to provide a great opportunity for all the young basketball players in the community.

As Mendocino College alumni and four-year collegiate student-athletes, the two understand the importance of pairing education with athletics.

The camp will include a focus on individual and team play through key fundamentals of basketball.

Each player will receive individual attention from college players and coaching staff.

Upon completion of the four days, campers will understand the value of short- and long-term goals in education and athletics.

The camp focuses on the core values of a true basketball player; family, school and basketball.

Session one, for children ages 8 through 11, will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on the days of the camp; session two, for 12- to 14-year-olds, will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The camp fee is $75 before July 20, or $85 for walk-ups.

Space is limited to 40 players per session.

For more information call Offill at 707-468-3028.
