CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Come out and support your local youth on Saturday, March 12.
South Shore Little League will hold its second annual dinner, dance and silent auction from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Clearlake Community/Senior Center, 3245 Bowers Ave. in Clearlake.
They will offer a pasta bar dinner featuring marinara, Alfredo and pesto pastas along with salad, bread and dessert.
Dance the night away with local band “Without a Net.”
There also will be a silent auction featuring many items donated by local merchants.
You must be 21 to attend because there will be a full service bar.
Tickets are $15 per person, which includes two drink tickets.
You can purchase your tickets at the door or you can purchase yours in advance from any South Shore Little League Board member.
Tickets also are available at Foods Etc., Mendo Mill and Four Corners.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The Hidden Valley Lake Men's Niners Golf Club kicked off its 2011 season on Mar. 3 with a sweeps competition (low net).
The results were:
First flight – Olie Smith took first at net 33, Al Burrows finished second with 34 and Dave Mann was third with 35.
Second flight – Mike Casolo and Carl Dennis tied for first by posting the lowest nets of the day, 31, and Bill Stricklan was third at 34.
Third flight – Phil Tyler was first with 33, Pete Gumina was second at 34 and Mike Riley finished third, 37.
Arch Madsen and Rick Conrad came closest to the par 3 pins.
Chip-ins were scored by seven competitors – the largest number in years.
Ron Hallman, Randy Brown, Bob Schlosser, Al Burrows, Mike Casolo, Cark Dennis and Olie Smith all posted chip-ins.
Thirty-seven men participated in the club's initial competition of 2011.
