Upper Lake, Kelseyville Methodist churches welcome new pastor

LAKE COUNTY – The Upper Lake Community United Methodist Church and the Kelseyville United Methodist Church are pleased to welcome as their new minister the Rev. Jan Brim, an elder in the United Methodist Church.

Brim has been in the ministry for 27 years, having pastored several churches before coming to Lake County.

She preaches Jesus Christ crucified and risen and seeks to meet the pastoral aspects of the community, ministering to families and individuals as needed.

The Upper Lake Community Church and the Kelseyville Church are Bible-believing congregations, which seek to minister to the spiritual needs of Lake County.

On Sunday, July 11, the congregation will meet at 604 Clover Valley Road in Upper Lake for worship service at 11 a.m. Child care is provided at 10:45 a.m.

The Kelseyville church is located at First and Main Street; worship service starts at 9 a.m.

Holy Communion is held at both churches the first Sunday of the month.

Bible study is held at the Upper Lake church office every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Kelseyville Bible study will start up again in the fall and will meet in the afternoon. The Kelseyville church Thrift shop is open every Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A potluck lunch is held in Upper Lake on the third Sunday of the month and in Kelseyville on the fourth Sunday.
